Re: Beyond Meat

I tried Beyond Beef crumbles, which I understand to be a Beyond Meat product, but I thought they were horrid. I tried them in pasta sauce eith rigatoni. I do like Boca Burgers though.

My Walmart carries Beyond Beef crumbles and falafel bites but no burgers. We just have Boca Burger and Morning Star.

Biden has a tendency to put his foot in his mouth. Hard to believe that many Democratic candidates think that they would make a better president than all the others. Egos, they have big.

Re: Trump "Just not worth it"

There are still investigations going on by the U.S. House and the New York Southern District U.S. district attorney.

If something criminal comes up, then maybe some Republicans would be inclined to have an impeachment and trial; otherwise, no.

Re: Speaking Out - Engaged Speech

An involved discussion of right-speech from a Buddhist perspective necessitates discussion of doctrine and scriptures, which is more appropriate at DWT or DWM. Theravada and Mahayana views probably differ as to whether or not remaining silent consists of wrong-speech and whether in-action can bear ...

Re: Speaking Out - Engaged Speech

Particularly from an "engaged Buddhist" perspective, as appropriate here, Right Speech means speaking the truth. Doing so has its own karma/kamma, and not always beneficial. But remaining silent also has its karmic results. There is much more to right speech than not lying, according to Buddha Gaut...

Re: Climate science and statistics - omnibus thread

Food prices in US are rising and with the floods, will likely rise much more. I eat a lot of cabbage and the price per pound has jumped at least 30 cents. Meat prices have jumped too. Its almost cheaper to eat unhealthy fast food than to cook healthy. This really hits the poor. If we have a drought ...

Re: Western Buddhists caught again in a web of lies

The attorney general's report said that Trump was not found to have conspired with Russia, but regarding impeding the investigation, the AG said that Trump was not charged, but neither was he exonerated. Remember too, that although the Mueller investigation is over, the U.S. Congress is still invest...
