Re: The War on Plastic

The beaches looked terrible in the video, and if the story the guy told about the lifeguard saying they cleaned the beach in the morning but high-tide bringing in so much more plastic is true, it is a terrible scenario.

Re: Exposing Australia's recycling lie

Hi Kim, thanks!

Yes, this is a problem for many countries now, not just Australia, since China has closed up shop. It looks like the only solution is to start taking care of this stuff (and actually recycling it) in house.

Re: Which environmental things do you do?

I use energy efficient light bulbs, conserve energy, recycle paper, plastic, etc, reuse bags and beverage containers, eat organic as much as possible, pesticide-free. I also have cut back on meat somewhat though I am not vegetarian, try to fly and drive less, and most importantly I try to spread Cli...

:thanks: I knew there had been studies on plants' responses to higher CO2 and temps, and that the results weren't all good, but that was as far as my knowledge went. :namaste: Kim Same here. The response to the higher levels of CO2 by plants is a definite surprise. Scientists will probably be able ...
