I see the pattern now.

They follow with this Bloomberg in the ways of Trump: rich, New York, want to show off what means to have money

ie what could be accomplished with them. I'm not sure that once the pattern is visible, people will go for it.

Why would one want to be a sheep lined up behind the rich?

It's karma, I feel it is.

Greetings Miorita,

I suspect it has more to do with the financial state of the DNC. Because they are in such a dire situation, rich folk outside the world of federal politics, like Bloomberg and Steyer, think they can use their own wealth to secure a nomination. (Potentially they have something to hide, so would rather gamble their wealth on a tilt at the presidency than find themselves in prison... :spy: )

Unlike Bloomberg and Steyer, the most impactful nominees on both sides of the aisle seem to be those who position themselves in opposition to the establishment - namely, Trump and Sanders. I hope it is a race between Trump and Sanders... it's the debate and showdown that the American people deserved in 2016.

Greetings SethRich!

How come that Trump supporters don't want a race between Trump and Biden?

I think Trump supporters would actually be quite happy with that race, because Biden would be annihilated at the ballot box...

... and that's to say nothing about the full Ukrainian/Biden "quid pro quo" story coming into light. Many people believe he is running so as to cover his tracks, and make it appear "political" if he is held to account for his former swindling of the American people.

Strange response. It was said earlier at this forum before the event that the false impeachment proceedings would not bring down President Trump, only mortally damage the presidential bid of Joe Biden.

It does not take divine wisdom to see what is clearly there... all it takes is critical thinking and the ability to discern and set aside fake news. These are skills that can be refined via the Dhamma, and applied also to other spheres.

:ugeek:

Kind regards.

I heard Biden say "150 million people killed by guns" and I thought I must have mis-heard, but it's true, he did say that!

Greetings,

For what it's worth, of the 100 delegates declared to date (with 1,991 delegates needed to win the nomination):

Sanders - 45
Buttigieg - 25
Biden - 15
Warren - 8
Klobuchar - 7

Everyone else (including Bloomberg & Steyer) - 0

Biden wins South Carolina in a landslide, but based on current polls, it looks like that might be all he wins or perhaps additionally Alabama this Tuesday.

I am wondering when Elizabeth Warren will withdraw from the race as well.

Another heart attack for Bernie and she could be the leading crazy socialist...

It's not out of the question. What happens to committed delegates if a candidate withdraws due to ill health or death?

More likely Trump would drop dead after eating 3 hamburgers from Mc Donalds
18 years ago I made one of the most important decisions of my life and entered a local Cambodian Buddhist Temple as a temple boy and, for only 3 weeks, an actual Therevada Buddhist monk.

Apparently some pundits (and some on MSNBC nonetheless) are questioning Bernie's viability -- just because he lost South Carolina. In my opinion, Biden will be lucky to win one, maybe two more states. Bernie is doing very well, so far. South Carolina is an exception, mostly Black-American, older demographic.
