Town Halls on CNN today with Gabbard, Delaney, and Pete Buttigieg. They all did pretty good, in my opinion.

Who came out the winner, if any?

It's hard to say, they all did good. I didn't see any answer where there was any 'gotcha' type moment where the moderators try to catch them contradicting themselves or something like that. I liked Delaney, but don't think he has much chance.

I'm reading Pete Buttigieg's book, Shortest Way Home, and am more and more impressed by his insight and clearheaded, direct, practical approach to the political process. The book details his two terms as mayor of South Bend, IN, including interesting discussion of the problems he's faced and the creative solutions he and his administration have found. I hope he gets the chance to bring those skills and forward thinking to Washington.

Former Governor Bill Weld announces he'll challenge Trump for the Republican nomination for POTUS.

https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/15/politics ... index.html

It's very rare that someone challenges an incumbent president for the nomination, from the same party. However, Bill Weld is more of a Libertarian than a Republican, having been on the running mate side of the Libertarian ticket in the last election, partnering with Gary Johnson.

It might make it more interesting, but little to no chance of getting the nomination (GOP side).
